Suspension debate-opinions plz? Air ride Vs. Adj. shock

Things are finally looking like I can start rebuilding my bike this summer I know its been TOOOOO long-but had to play ketchup on Taxes

So-here's the debate: going to be running N/a because this will never be my race bike again-strictly for cruising from now on...what speeds I consider to "cruising" is my own bidness thankuverymuch....I want an adjustable suspension so that I can setup bike for single-2up riding quickly w/o much fuss. Obviously Air ride is great at this, but I have a lil concern for whether or not the air ride systems hold up well when the temps drop... as I live in WI and like to ride into Oct.-dont want to walk out to my bike and have it sunk into the pavement from loss of air pressure? seen it happen to cars on 'bags before, not sure if this is an issue for bike systems.
I like the Ohlins adjustable shocks w/remote res. tuning so I can mount the dial within reach-I dont like having to dig up my busa's a** to make riding it more comfortable, been there done that and let too many people take pics to laugh at later whilst doing it.
I know of adj. shocks from Elka, Penske, and mebbe Race Tech? if Im missing some new hot-off-tha-shelf gear, feel free to chime in.

I need something comfortable more than perf.-oriented since this will be putting miles on, not 1/4miles...made a deal w/the devil so racing is out for the forseeable future. Might as well enjoy what I got, however i can get it.

Thanx in advance for your input

I ran an Elka on my 05 turbo, 4" over swing arm, and had no problems with a light passenger.

I would have to agree with you on the air ride D, I would think cold weather could be an issue though also.

A forum for motorcycle in general. This site is my personal website being ran by myself Heavybusa and soon BigGeorge. It is a place we can go and talk about all bikes dirt, street, cruiser or whatever else. Also a place we can converge on if Extreme ever has problems so you can get in touch with us to find out what is going on and when Extreme will be up and running again.
