The Chico Hump Mod, better then the hump mod everyone is doing. what do you think?

whats the benefit of doing the hump mod just to have an extra compartment that you can only fit a pair of gloves in. wouldn't it be better to make the entire compartment under the rear seat bigger?
heres my idea. i haven't actualy done it yet, this is what i'm thinking. cut out the white plastic plate thats under the hump, but when i say cut it out i mean cut out the inside portion leaving just a frame that would still allow for mounting and securing the hump in place, but would also allow for a jacket that might not otherwise fit under hump now fit becouse you just added an addional X number of inches. meaning, cut an opening in the white plastic place so that an item lager then the underseat compartment can be covered with hump. kind of like when you buy icecream and they give you that cover thats like an upside down cup allowing for the ice cream that stacked over the top of your cup to still be contained... look at the pics

what do you guys think? makes sence right? i call it the Chico Hump Mod. LOL

better yet remove all but the portions that hold the lock and the tabs like in the pic below
