New PM Search Function Added

I just added a SEARCH function to the Private Messages screen which allows you to seach through your messages.

You may have to refresh your screen (press F5) to see it.

That's a great feature! Especially with upwards of 500 in your inbox alone, I can see them needing to be searchable.

I know you intentionally disabled the "save sent copy" feature, but would it be possible to make that a profile option instead (can default to no until we change it). I personally like to keep my sent PMs in case the response doesn't include a quote.

Side note, even though my subscription is set to Instant E-mail Notification, when I reply to a thread, it still doesn't auto-subscribe me.

EBC bugs me by being so "full" at the top of every screen. I have to keep a smaller window so I can browse at work.

How about either putting the search feature in a drop down like the forum searches work, or placing it at the bottom of the PM box screen?

I've looked for a more robust mod for PM's and unforunately they are pretty limited. You can either have it checked or unchecked by default. So the pickle is determining which is more important.

This has been resolved. The problem was between the keyboard and the chair.

When posting a quick reply to an unsubscribed thread, the Thread Tools dropdown has a "Subscribe" link instead of an "Unsubscribe" link which would lead the user to the conclusion that you have in fact not been auto-subscribed.

However, this is not the case. I suspect the quick relpy auto-refresh is just too quick to reflect the actual subscription status.

....plus all you have to do is look at your subscribed threads listing for confirmation.

I rarely use the subscription feature so it makes no difference to me, especially since we can set a default in our profiles.

That would probably be beneficial to someone that uses it a lot.

I've already caught on to that BG. Doesn't help for those of us who might go to the New Posts link and then open every new post in a new window and then close the window after posting.

Also appears your demo doesn't work on this board. You can't seem to click that little subscribe icon to do anything. But that's okay.
