Extreme Mod Newbie
Seems our charging system isn't. At idle the head light is bright as RPMs rise it dims somewhat. Also it doesn't want to start sometimes although the battery spins the motor quickly. As soon as we add the battery charger, bang! It fires right off. Any ideas? just a little strange we are both a little perplexed

I've had that problem twice with my 08. The first time it was the battery and second time it was a slightly loose pole connector! Nine times out of ten when you have a problem like that it's a grounding issue.

I agree with the above.... had the same problem with a loose connection on my battery. Swapped out mounting bolt on battery and it's been fine ever since.

Based on my experience on my issue with the battery charger. i got interrupted power supply and not properly charged. I just compromised my time and never believe in the power of maintaining it.

I was just into the dealer a week or so ago and they said there was a recall in the charging system cable, they replaced mine on my '08 at no charge and it's running beautifully with no problems.
