the truth is if you will take the time to grind and polish yours like mine it will look like chrome all the time, the oil keeps it slicker than a babys butt. if you want me to get me an extra plate and ill grind it and polish it for you, i promise you want have to worry about flaking chrome. but with that said i would not worry about the chrome flaking \anyway most clucth covers have chrome on the inside of them.
The guy im purchasing this from said hes had it on his bike for about 18,000 miles not a problem yet. I have also emailed people that have had them on for a couple of years and they too have had no problems, I think ill give it a shot. ill just keep an eye on it, because he said they only chrome the front of it not the back, so i would see ( hopefully) if any bubbles started to happen. besides this is going to go great with Joseph's clutch cover mod.
