Ok I have a serious question for all you bike owners. I am going to look at two trailers this weekend for our bikes. They are both 6'x10' but differ in options. So I was curious as to what you guys n' gals think of which one you would go with.
Trailer#1
WAS BOUGHT IN 07 AS A LEFT OVER AND HAS MANY OPTIONS IN IT, SIDE DOOR ,RAMP DOOR,INSIDE LIGHTS INSIDE STEREO, IN SIDE CAMERA TO WATCH UR LOAD FROM THE CAB OF TRUCK HAS, 2 WHEEL CHALKS ALONG WITH FLOOR RAILS, ROOF VENT STONE GUARD AND LED LIGHTING for $2900 or stripped for $2500
Trailer#2 WAS BOUGHT A FEW YEARS AGO AND HAS A SINGLE RAMP REAR DOOR, ROOF VENT, AND ELETRIC BRAKES AND ONLY TOWED ROUGHLY A 1000 MILES OR SO. USED TO STORE A BIKE, HAS ONE ROLL IN CHOCK AND TIE DOWNS. $2500
Both look great and very well taken care of from the pics but will see more in person this saturday. Just wondering what you all thought? Just so you know I do not know the brands or types of the equipment that is in the trailers. Your feedback is appreciated. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT BIG G's WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE
It would be alot of work to get the stickers off the side of trailer one. If you don't mind doing that then trailer one is a great deal. For me I would want all that stuff on the side because you are just advertiseing to come steal what is inside. just my opinion.
Old, but still treacherous - AMA #420393 - 1 3/8" Genmar bar riser - Suzuki DB screen - Corbin seats - Pazzo levers (with a lot of help from my friends!) - Yoshi carbon RS3's - Roadlok- Billet sprocket cover- HIDs-braided brake lines
Angela said to me you know the guys are going to go with 1 right? lol I told her I still needed to get opinions though. Sometimes it's not always the loaded one people would go for.
That is the only down fall in my opinion so if it's vinyl then I voted wrong.
When we talked on the phone and I asked about it I was hoping he wasn't going to say it was painted on. They haven't been on the trailer long either which should help in the removal process if I were to get it.
#1....even thu its vinyle, its vinyle that on a black surface. Yea the vinyle heats up and bakes....it may take some black surface off with them?? Past experience, but not on a trailer..so?
The side door is a big thing, I think. You've got two bikes, so I have to think you'll find that very convienient. (Well you have three bikes, I know-but I imagine you'll trailer two at a time)

I'll play devils advocate. Why do you want an enclosed trailer? I ask because I REALLY wanted one, and once I had it I barely used it. And they are HEAVY and help you guzzle gas. Why not consider a dual Kendon?
I want something to be able to transport other stuff also and to keep the bikes in during the winter so it opens up a lot more room in the garage to work on the cars and whatnot. The BIG thing too is Angie is paying half
Ahhhh... the storage part for the winter is a bonus. I get it now.
BTW... the finish on the trailer will be discolored when you remove those decals. And it isn't that simple. There's an rubber attachment you can buy for a drill, but even then it's gonna be a small task. I had decals on my trailer, and the white was discolored when I removed a decal.

I kind of figured it would, and thought I could let my buddy have at it with his detailing skilz and buffer. Maybe even paint some sort of design down the sides.

Do it! Do it! Keep in mind, I had all kinds of Suzuki and Hayabusa and EBC decals on my trailer. It was parked outside motels and in my driveway... never ever had a problem. I think the theory of displaying what's inside leads to theft is overstated. A blank enclosed trailer parked at a hotel during a bike event is just as subjected to break-in as a labeled trailer. That's just my
