Think my shifting problem is fixed

After I installed shinko+44 rear cog (geared 2 the gills now 16--44)

going 2 neutral when shifting 2 second over 7 grand

increased the kill time on pingle electric shifter hate 2 but had 2. Got the kill turned way up

but its shifting correctly now.Looking 2 run 6.40----6.30 1/8th now 110--112mph its making little pop now cause killtime is cranked up so high ..i have it at 90% 100 being longest kill it can do.it was at 40% engine milliseconds kill time on shift activation.

but better than hitting neutral

I think its cause motor is new 1000 miles so tranny tight

    needs more kill time

I'd be interested in both how much force(psi) that cylinder exerts on the shifter, as well as what the kill time range is. Any chance you have or can get those specs?
Glad to hear you got it working, but might be a bit nicer to know why it wasn't... for future issues.

I have always had problems with the pingel kill boxes on the 04 and up Busa`s. Kill was always up high and still would miss shift. Switch to MPS box and no more problems at all. Co2 presure regulated to 125 psi

We have a couple Cycle-Tek shifters installed(one on a Gsxr and one on a Busa), they get used at 1/8th and 1/4 tracks, the road and in LSR.... the ONLY time either one has missed a shift(it was mine on the gsxr), it was only once and it was because I didn't turn the bottle on.

Matt's shifter does not miss shifts as long as(like any product) they are installed correctly, and I can only say that about one other shifter system(which has never been made for a metric bike and thankfully becasue of that it led me to Cycle-Tek).

I can't imagine the Pingel system(and I sell them) being strong enough to allow for consistantly reliable low(sub 100ms) kill times. Street- yes, faster then footshifting - absolutely... but to be comparable to or as reliably quick as a good air/co2/nitrogen system just doesn't seem feasible imo.

BTW, I run 135psi on our metric bikes with approx 80ms kill time, and 160psi on our vtwin with approx 55-60ms kill time.

There's alot of systems that should work well, but IMO if you want a system that works for sure each time then talk to Matt at Cycle-Tek to purchase his electric activated CO2 shifter - and these aren't my first shifters.

Not sure about the pan, but if you change your cylinder mounting to connect to the shift lever vertically(instead of to the shift rod horizontally), I'll bet you can decrease your shifting times(and your rpm drop of course), cause less stress on your cylinder, and reduce your missed shifts tremendously.

I think the kill adjust is more accurate on the pingle 10 diffrent setting instead of just turning a dial.Nice thing with tbhe electric no bottle 2 mount no air lines takes less room.I cant really say if i like it or not yet i will no better this weekend if dont rain

thats my old bike it dont miss
