Thread: Lets see your stretch !!!

Hi all ive been lurking the site for a few weeks and this is the best site ever for busa riders. Im researching some future mods. I want to extend the swingarm and possibly drop the bike, i was hoping you guys could show me pics of your setup and post the specs to give me an idea. Im looking at a 5" max stretch and a 2" max drop. So anything below or combination there of, lets see it. This isnt going down until OCT, but i had to make a first post so i could download the service manual thanks in advance, great site...

Welcome to the EBC BusaNoob. I don't have any pics like that for you, but I know you will be getting some links to other threads with them. I know MTKO has his low and long like your looking for, and personally thats about the right combo aesthetically typing.

here's mine NOOB-its 9" over, with a new swingarm, a 10" over braided rear brake line, and a 150-link chain from Mrytle West Customs. I just got a new suspension package put on the rear that REALLY makes the ride better-stock shock SUX when you stretch the bike man, especially if you tip the scales over 200lbs. (i weigh in @210-ish now) the stock spring will not be very forgiving and you'll end up rubbin tail on tire if you lower the bike too. Go aftermarket on the spring n you'll be in good shape. if you want more tips Pm me

I hate to use a Kwak for example but this is the stance im looking, but ill keep a 200 tire. Not extreme, just a little longer and lower than stock. Plus, dont have the $$$ for new rearend, and not really a fan of too much chrome unless its a show-bike. Plan on using the extensions blocks, has anybody had bad experiences with those ?

That is a Canadian mike arm

Here is 4 1/2 long and 2inch drop

I am going to a Canadian Mike arm when I have enough duckies to upgrade my shock and spring.

If you decide to go with a new arm-lay out a plan beforehand with a list of everything you'll need-if you forget stuff it'll set you back days waiting for that 'one thing' that you need but dont have...it sucks lookin at your baby stuck on a lift for a week....like starin at your girlfriend while she's stuck in a stretcher; you wana ride it so bad but you gotta wait....

3 to 7 adjustable extensions, currently around 6 over and 1.25 down in the front.

Oh and Mike's arm's are the SH&T !!!

How much do those various arms go for? That'd definitely help keep the front end down at the track.

The extensions go for around 140, but theres a kit right now on ebay that includes 3-9 extensions, extended brake cable, chain and a new sprocket for 360 shipped. Ive stumbled on the complete swingarms for 700 up to 3 grand. Theres also ppl that will stretch your stock one for you. If you plan on beating it up on a track i would go with a complete arm.
