Ok, theres been lots of talk about the billet front sprocket covers, and some about the clutch covers. I'm going to break this down as best I can. These were sold under a different name before, still fabricated by the same source. So, TC stepped up to the plate, with some assistance (thank you Mr. Anonymous) and is now offering these components.

Time Line: Opens 10 June and closes Midnight EST 27 June 2008.

Billet front sprocket/slave supports.

Orders do not have to be for all Raw or BA to get the savings.

Clutch Cover will require modification to the left side fairing, i.e. cut the fairing for access. These covers allow quick, unrestricted access to the entire clutch components, not only for drag racers, but also for ease of routine maintenance. Hardware included.

Billet "slave supports" or front sprocket covers. Incl' new hardware. These covers replace the weak cast stock piece, not only look good, but in the event of a chain failure will help minimize damage (to date, there have been no reports of cracked cases when using this support and incurring a chain chain failure). Accepted damage when chain fails can be as catastrophic as having a cracked case (requires the replace of engine casing since they are machined matched pairs), water pump housing replacement, cover replacement and more. These covers don't stop any damage, they minimize is by virtue of their inherent strength helping to contain the energy of the broken chain. Again, to date, there have been no reports of this associated damage when using the billet cover.

I can get colors other than Black anodized, either from the machinist (requires at least a few pieces to be done together or its not financially feasible) or from a dealership in Denver CO, Fae Myers, that does custom anodizing (Incl' Purple

), this would be done on a pay by case basis and I do not have an estimate as of yet. Just wanted to put it out there.

how much would a chrome clutch cover be... and do they offer the easy access in the clear covers?

The clear cover would have to be modified via Joseph at Efficacious Designs. As for Chrome, its not currently offered, but I know Joseph can get that done, as well I could thru FM Motorsports. Cost, not sure, but I'd say its in line with typical highly reputable chrome shops.

I don't have the chrome hook-up.. I will alert Joseph to this thread so he can see about helping some of us out with Chroming and clear windows if he's interested.

i have switched to a new chromer in tenessee, his rates are alot cheaper and his quality is a lot better, the more i send him the cheaper it gets on bulk rate, with a turnaournd of one week, where i was getting two to three weeks turnaournd for shabby work from the other guy.
