    Group Buy: UTAG ICE

UTAG ICE sells for $49.99. Turk's wife, BackseatBusa (Sarah), has been working closely with the owner of UTAG and she has become a U.S. distributor. Plus, she is offering EBC members a KILLER deal of only $32 shipped! Engraving is also available for an additional $12.

UTAG® is the USB digital dogtag that stores vital personal information.

No longer are you reliant on other people nor are you restricted to bracelets and neck chains that have fold out paper sections that hold limited amounts of information. The UTAG Digital Dog Tag holds it all and is password protected so only you can edit those details.

The lightweight aluminium style gives it a fashionable edge, it comes with an additional blank Dog Tag for you to personalize.

    - Designed to be the first point of reference in an emergency.
    - Emergency contact details
    - Include your picture
    - Tough aluminum alloy weatherproof enclosure
    - Blood type, key medical information
    - GP contact
    - International language options
    - Can be worn as a dogtag a zip pull or on your keyring
    - Bespoke user friendly software
    - Includes additional blank sided dogtag for personalization
    - Now includes “Private Folder”

    1. The UTAG is an aluminium alloy digital dog tag, for use in an emergency. The front of the UTAG features the acronym ICE, meaning 'in case of emergency'. The snake and staff medical symbol inside the paramedic star will alert emergency services that the UTAG contains important medical information.

    2. The UTAG contains a USB drive which swivels open to reveal the connector. This is a unique design bringing the traditional dog tag into the digital age, this allows for Information & Purchasing to be stored - than could be on a traditional dog tag.

    3. With the UTAG fully open the device folds flat ready to be inserted into a normal USB port.

    4. The UTAG is a super slim USB device that can be inserted into a normal USB port on a windows ME, 2000, XP or Viista computer. Once inserted, your computer will recognise the device, it will pop up a window to ask you to open the device (Me, 2000 and XP) or run the program (Settings dependent in Vista).

    5. This is a screenshot of the UTAG read only 'Public screen' it shows your information to he user when plugged into a PC. Behind this screen are three password protected edit screens.

The information displayed is non ID sensitive i.e. you are asked for your year of birth only, not your full date of birth. All fields are optional you only need to complete the information that you would like to include.

    6. The UTAG is multilingual. In the medical information edit screen, the most common conditions and allergies are listed with tick boxes. This allows for easy editing and because they are chosen with a tick we know the translation in another language. From the drop down language section window you can choose another language. This will translate all the headers and the medical conditions and allergies you choose to tick.

This enables a speaker of a different language to understand your information, not only in an emergency. If you are traveling abroad and you have a minor injury, you may have trouble explaining a condition to a medical professional. With the UTAG you could hand it over and let them look at your information in their own language (dependent on language spoken).

Comes with two of these.. Im thinking you put one on you lid.

I personally dig mine alot. If I had crashed my busa and had no friends there, the digital dog-tag could have saved me. We all ride more miles alone than with a friend that knows you well enough to give life saving info.

There are only 2 distributors of this item in the U.S.. One is http://www.flyncycle.com/ the other is my wife .
    This is my Twitter account

Compare the UTAG ICE price of $32 to the over-priced Medic Alert bracelets or necklaces. They're not even in the same league.

This is one of those products that should have been available long ago. The software allows for a vast amount of your personal medical information, as well as your photo, important contact phone numbers and your insurance information.

If - God forbid - your incapacitated this could absolutely save your life.

I will have one, my wife will have one, my mother and my Godmother will have one too.

I've been meaning to get something like this, and frankly the peace of mind knowing that my medicinal allergies can be communicated to emergency personnel (god forbid I am incapacitated) is worth ten times this amount.

Cheers my friends, and thank you.

Yes. You edit the information, password protect it, and no one can edit it except you.

    FROM THE FAQ SECTION:
How do I put in my details?
You need to put in your password into the box on the bottom right of the screen and click ‘Log In’ to enter the edit selection screen (the password is set to ‘password’ when you first use your UTAG®). You will then see the edit buttons choose the section you wish to edit from there.

    It is only PC compatible.

I couldn't find anything about it being waterproof. Perhaps Sarah has the answer.

    FROM THE FAQ SECTION:
The Utag has been devised to be the first point of reference in an emergency. To view the information Utag needs to be inserted into a free USB port on a Windows based computer (Windows Me, 2000, XP, server 2003 or Vista and above). The computer will detect a new device. In Windows XP and server 2003 a window will open.

Took a little longer than I planed...just ordered two of these.

They really are one of the most important mods we can do! Nobody wants to be in a position to use these, but living another day to complain about why we had to use it is a far better then the alternative.

Again, Jay my hats off to Sarah for putting this together for us. George great GB!!!

I got mine the other day, I've already downloaded all my info onto the card reader. Yes it does come with the logo on both the card reader and the tag, and both come with the rubber protectors.

This is a life saving tool that everyone should have and carry on you at all times.

If you go down on your bike or get in an auto accident this can save your life.

All of them will be shipped to Sarah, then she'll have them engraved, then she'll ship them to the members.

Hey all, I am Sarah, Turk's wife. Since I had to become a distributor to get this price for us, I will not submit an order with UTAGS until I have at least 20 ordered. At that point, I will let all know I am close to placing the order and make sure no one else wants to place an order. My dude in the UK will air mail them to me soon there after. When they come in, I will take those being engraved to my jeweler and the rest will be shipped accordingly. Those waiting on engraving should only have a extre 3 days or so. They are water proof as long as dry when entering the USB port on your somputer. Package will come exactly as Turk has pictured unless you are not engraving. Very nice and smart dogtag, in my opinion, to have.

I just had to have one of those, I tried to talk the wife into getting one but she didn't care for the dogtag version. I ordered one for me but then it hit me that I could buy another one and make a key chain out of it for her. So, I'll be adding a second one to my order.
    Thanks for the group buy.
