A forum for motorcycle in general. This site is my personal website being ran by myself Heavybusa and soon BigGeorge. It is a place we can go and talk about all bikes dirt, street, cruiser or whatever else. Also a place we can converge on if Extreme ever has problems so you can get in touch with us to find out what is going on and when Extreme will be up and running again.
Cool

price?
Price i only want the original black with red sliders perhaps
I am a pretty big Woodcraft dealer in Boston and I can set this up for you guys. I would need to have some sort of preliminary estimate as to how many people are interested. Woodcraft is definitly our best product. I personally know the owners, designer (and sometimes crash tester) of the parts and they are top quality. A great group buy would require a few weeks lead time to get a run of them all at once for our best discounts.
I would suggest emailing me for info and pricing at busacovergroupbuy@duncanmoto.com
Let me know if you want
1. Bright dip or anodized black finish.
2. What color skid plate you want. Stainless, Black, Blue, Gold, red, aluminum.
3. Name, forum handle and state you live in.

if you know him, please ask him something i have been wondering about.
a good number of us have low sided the busa on the left side. based on where i saw the scratches to the stock cover, would it not be best for the skid plate to be angled a bit towards the front? say a 20-30% angle instead of perpendicular to the ground?
what have his crash tests shown?
oh, also...can i get JUST a skid plate? thinking of replacing my natural aluminum with a black slider...or gold
Black is easy. Gold is our exclusive color and I reserve them for cover sales.
If you just need a plate you can Pay Pal $25 to sales@duncanmoto.com and I'll mail one out with new screws same day.
I would have to ask him to be sure, but I believe for the most part all skid plates are perpendicular to the ground for asthetic reasons. The skid plates tend to stick out enough on most bikes to protect the cover, but I have seen a few that miss the pad depending on how it goes down, what rearsets and sliders are on the bike, etc. There are allot of factors at play. Eric Wood races a Duc 848 and a CBR600 he has not actually crash tested the Busa as he did not own the one he had for fitting the covers.
Now keep in mind that the skid plates are meant to take the grunt of the sliding friction and grinding.
The real goal is to keep the cover in one piece and the oil and parts in the bike.
Anyone on here slide with a Woodcraft cover? If so please email me photos or post them up here.
I seem to fall to the right mostly.........![]()
