Nope. Don't get your hopes up.
I did a "projected" amount off the BLET web page. I don't feel it is anyway close but it figured roughly:
$7000 in back pay.
$2700 in repayment to them for Medical COLA. ( Harris COLA )
Difference of $4300 minus RR retirement of 12.6%, probably around 33% tax and minus my 18% I put in my 401K plan.
Should leave enough to buy breakfast at Dennys.

I don't need anymore money per mile. It's just taxed. I wanted a better 401K match, more vacation time and better Dental plan.
None of the above were addressed to my understanding. Basicly all that was settled was backpay which you were entitled to in the first place and your Medical went up. (which everyones has)

Once again you regress.
Don't get Harris COLA mixed up with regular COLA. There is a difference.

You then have a decent 401K. We get 25% of the first 4%. Period.
Vacation is: 7 yr. for 3 weeks.
15 yr. for 4 weeks. (might be more)
Don't remember 5 week figure. I'll never see it anyway. I'll be on a 52 week vacation.

They cap 401k at 3k. So I get capped pretty quickly.
Vacation: Start to 5 years - 2weeks. After 5 years - 3 weeks. After 10 years - 4 weeks. After 15 years - 5 weeks.

This is a good barometer of the economy. Always has been. I have thought for a long time rail traffic was down. Here is the proof.
I talked with an offical recently and was told we are down over 100,000 units from last year. Unit being one (1) car load. The West End had close to 90 Engineers last year. 71 now. East End had 85 pool jobs. This year 73.
The key here is to get the debt down. I don't have a lot myself, mostly 0% but will pay it off ASAP. Rought times are ahead in my opinion. It just depends on which "sector" you work in and the Senority you have.
I would not want to be in manufacturing (not that there is any left) and automobile related fields.

Our bridge traffic is down big time. It has been for a long time. We rely heavily on pig iron, grain, lumber, etc.
The auto industry keeps getting smaller and smaller. Bad place to be employed

The pig iron, etc. is freight that is generated by our customers and then shipped to other customers on our line. Grain to Ethanol plants, Pig Iron to steel plants, etc

Looks like the DT&I line huh? I still need to pull my old box of goodies and see what I can find.
I think I was going to send you some DTI Form 19 Train orders.
