Thread: Visit From Mr. Brown

I put this in random because it's non bike related. Mr. brown paid me a visit today. My PC went down before Xmas, It was getting long in the tooth anyway but I babied it to the ripe old age of 4 yrs old. It was a Sony Viao 3.2 ghz 2 gigs ram , Geforce 7600 agp 512 mb vid card. Needless to say it couldn't handle most of the newer games. Today Mr. Brown dropped of a HP Elite Q9400t Core 2 Quad 2.5 ghz with 4 gigs of ram, Nvidia 256 mb PCI-E card, Sound Blaster WiFi Xtreme, 320 gig HD, Windows Vista Ultimate and some other bits plus a HP 22 inch widescreen rotating monitor. Now I plan to upgrade the power supply to 650 watts add some Corsair ram and hopefull 2 Nvidia GTX cards running in SLI. Or maybe just 2 Nvidia 9800's runing together. I wanted the Core 2 Extreme processor but they still need to come down a bit. The monitor has speakers built in but I got a set of Creative Gigaworks T20 speakers on the way and I still kept the entire package under $700.00. Next time I'll build my own. Call Of Duty is calling ....Gotta go

If you have the ability its usually cheaper to build.

My kids fragged it. I tried to talk it away from the light but it was gone. I salvaged everything I could and gave it to a friend of mine's kid for his Dell. My friend is an Apple man and does a lot of sound editing and mixing. What's bad is the wife was HOT when she came in and saw it up and running but........Didn't she go behind my back and buy a Acer Laptop, hid it in my daughters toxic azz room where she knew I would never venture for lack of a bio-hazard suit, put a password on it in an attempt to keep me off it (which she couldn't) then not tell me how much she spent on it untile the credit card bill came in.
What really poured acid on the wound was when she found out that I spent less than her and got way more computer for my money. Take that you sneaky Biatch
