I should be ok. I don't whoolie, my tag is horizontal and lit, and I know how to turn 50 over into 100 over in a few seconds. (and how to get away)
Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't get real interesting until about 150.

A friend just send me this about a new law here in Florida.. it's sucks...
Quote:
"Under a Florida law that took effect this month, drivers will be hit with fines of more than $1,000 if they are cited for going 50 mph over the speed limit And for motorcyclists, there are additional new rules, including a ban on lifting their front wheel off the pavement also known as "popping wheelies." If drivers get caught going more than 50 mph over the limit a second time, they will have to pay more than $2,500 and lose their license for a year. Drivers will have to pay $5,000 for a third offense and forfeit their license for 10 years.
Previously, the harshest penalty was $250 for exceeding the speed limit by more than 30 mph. This penalty is still in effect. "...
Is there any good radar detection in the market for bikes???!!!
come on now.. 50mph you should be in jail... yes i fly on my busa but still 50mph over is no joke def should be jail time
I was thinking the same thing pretty much. But there is a difference between 50 over in a residential area (I would not do that, period) and 50 over on the freeway or on a backroad in the mountains (I do that from time to time). Granted its pretty exessive no matter how you look at it.
Old, but still treacherous - AMA #420393 - 1 3/8" Genmar bar riser - Suzuki DB screen - Corbin seats - Pazzo levers (with a lot of help from my friends!) - Yoshi carbon RS3's - Roadlok- Billet sprocket cover- HIDs-braided brake lines
That's better than what it was suppose be before they revised the new law. Originally 30mph and over would get your bike confiscated and jail time and no license for 10 years plus a more than healthy fine.

There are wide open portions of Rte 95 between the Delaware River crossing and Philly that are 55 mph.
So you think if I goose it up to 8K in third for a couple seconds on an empty, divided 4-lane interstate that I should go to jail?
All fifty over violations are not the same.
My scenario above doesn't come close to the reckless endangerment of going 75 in a 25 mph school zone, does it?
Prosecutors can always add reckless driving and other charges, if justified, but having automatic speed based jailing penalties is just too Nazi to me.
Basically, that's what the law says. If you choose to do that sort of stuff, do it in the middle of nowhere. Too bad Nevada isn't anywhere near Florida.
