MSD launch master questions and issues

Ok so finally installed my launch master, in my 03 busa. The install was easy but now im confused on how it works. It says to hook it up to the ground wire on the clutch to activate it, understandable, but wont that meant that when i change gears which i still do with my clutch it will come on again down the track and limit my rpms to 5k which is what its set at. let me know its raining cant test today. I mean how can i switch it off once I launch im way to busy hanging on .

Thanks

I installed one of these on my non turbo busa, and it would shut the engine off and then not start for a half hour.... then I installed it on the zx14 and it just shuts it off at what ever rpm you dial in, these things are a waste, I called msd about the problem and I was told they were working on it, so I just returned it and let them work on it with out my money....

The launchmaster should only work once the micro switch is engaged when you pull the clutch lever in all the way. Once you let the clutch lever out just enough to disengage the micro switch, the engine goes to full throttle(full rpm).

Cheeers,

Tony

So you use it, so what happens when you press the clutch in while shifting. dosent it activate it again.

....ask yourself this...do you pull your clutch lever right to the nuts everytime you shift? The launchmaster doesnt work like that anyway. It sets at low idle with your clutch lever fully pulled in. Many times I have been on the line, and accidentally left off the lever just a hair....and boom full throttle. Had to let off on the throttle, pull the clutch all the way in, then open the throttle all the way again. Remember, even at full throttle with your hand, the launch will only go as high as your set rpm.
