    My Trailer

Here is the 6x12 V-Nose trailer i picked up to haul my busa and my sons new quad in. Not sure what else I'm going to do with it. I put carpeting on the floor for now. Looking for suggestions and pics for ideas.

Here is a pic from this summer when we went on vacation to my wifes dad's cabin in up state NY.

Very nice, someday I'll get me one.
    Suggestions:

Cabinet for the V-nose, runs from the panel divide (right above the height of your windscreen) to the top, storage for chain cleaner and wax, towels etc..

Helmet hooks on one side. Wire shelf on the other for jackets, MX Cross gear (quad) etc.

    More Lights up top?

I borrowed a 20x8 a couple weeks ago for hauling the 4 Duc's down to our track day. It was a bullnose, and was a PITA to haul with the Escalade. It did have plenty of room, more than we needed by a long shot. Do you think you could squeeze 4 bikes in your trailer? I'd be using front wheel chocks and/or Pitbull trailer restraint for stability. It looks like theres enough room to squeeze them in there.

I'll measure tomorrow. Never thought about 4 bikes in there. This is how far I have to have my bike up front to fit my son quad in there. Not sure if I could put a shelf in there.

mine was the same size , i think you can get 3 in no problem but you might need a 14 ft for 4 bikes

    Congrats!

I have a 6x12 vnose too. I have a storage container on the floor at the "v" for misc stuff. I mounted several large aluminum hooks at the "v" on the wall for helmets. And on the walls I have several hooks for jackets, pants, etc. I installed a B&W checkerboard floor w/ anti-slip tape and 2 Condors.

I can't imagine there's enough room in there for 4 Busas.

Ducks are lighter, thinner, and shorter than Falcons I forgot to measure how much room we used.

I was thinking putting a cabinet on the top part, since your wheel is pushed all the way to the "v" nose, suspend the cabinet from that panel line on up.

No, but I'll take some for ya.

I just bought a 5-watt solar panel that I'm gonna connect to a yuasa battery, which will power to a 1200 watt power inverter. The inverter has 2 AC plugs on it, and I'm gonna run 2 household walls jacks to it and mount them to the wall. On the back of the trailer I'm mounting a pair of cheap driving lights above the ramp door (for night-time loading/unloading) that will connect to the yuasa battery too.

I check that out in the morning. I would like to have a cabinet in there. Along with so hooks or hangers like George was talking about. Need to be able to hang riding gear up.

    Just a couple example ideas:

    Rack

    Helmet Shelf

    Or V Nose ultimate setup

Just throwing ideas out there, like I said, one day I hope to have a small v-nose, enough size for me to tow the duc, store some gear and travel coast to coast.

Man I like that V-Nose setup. I just wouldn't have room for my bike or my son's quad. LOL

Maybe I could just do the top part.

Yep, thats what I was trying to say. Suspended cabinet up top, give you storage for a space you normally wouldn't use.

Nice trailer. Got mine and painted the walls and floor, installed an alarm, installed Baxley chcoks. Gonna get a rod for the front to hang gear and may ultimately do some more with the lighting. Probably also add a compressor.

Have measured to add 2 more chocks so I can haul 4 bikes in mine (its 7x14 v-nose), but think it would be tough in yours.

I like the door shelf. How hard was it to add more lights inside? Do they run off a generator?

The lights will run off the generator, or I can plug them into an extension cord. In the second picture you see the conduit running down from the switch, outlet , then through the floor. Under the floor on the outside of the trailer is a watertight exterior box. I ran a male extension cord plug from there up to the wall outlet, then regular 3 wire romex cable through the switch and to all the lights. I can plug the male end into my extension cord and run the cord to an outlet or to the generator. Simple to do.

Some of the companies like pit-pal make some nice trailer accessories too. Nice haulers.
