    MULLET changes over winter 09

Well lets see...I bit the bullet to pull the MULLET off the road for the winter. Yea bet it will be nice tomorrow.

Started the tear down tonight. Side fairings off, nose off, guage cluster out, Air-ride guages off, and trip tree removed.
Installed Cycle-catz one peice tree. Went much easier than I was expecting. Pictures will be up later.
Still waiting the arrival of the Driven Clip-ons. Mean while I will rewire some things ( led switch, air-ride toggles, top speed recall button, and a few other wiring plans for future things)

Think Im going to relly strip down the MULLET this winter to clean and check things over. Will be changing coolant, oil, and filter. Pulling the exhaust OFF..will it go back on with header wrap or will it be?????? Have to pull the tail off too...to re-run and clean up some arrangement things there also.
Have to button up some $$$ before I pull the swingarm for things.
Will all my plans and more get done over winter.....Stay tuned

Some pics of the cycle-catz one peice tree installed. Still waiting on delivery of the clip on. So in some pics the old tree is laying infront with the bars and good still on them.
Was also playing around with my old 5inch tach

I had that on before. This is still moch-up stage. I need the clip on to see what will stay black or stay chrome. Making a chrome ( or carbon) cover plate that will overlay the tree to install toggles, but atleast the center slot will remain open.

Rod, since your going to flush your coolant, may I suggest you replace with water wetter (or similar) mix with water. track friendly and don't have to worry about sliding a tire if it spills.

I like the top clamp, looks very nice.

The question is not how far. The question is do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith to go as far as is needed? The Duke.

Radiator out, exhaust off, and the shipment tracking of the clip-ons....says tomorrow.
Does anyone know if a GenII radiator is direct swap except for the return inlet being on the rear vs the front?

It should be a direct swap with the exception of the location of the return. This is really sounding cool Rod.

Driven clip-ons are here. Opened them up and slide them over the forks.............sweet and sexy. Its been way to LONG since I got to open a box and say WOW! Love how the bronze of the tubs can be seen thu the clamp slots. Best of all I think they will be stayin BLACK, no chroming needed. Pics later once I get all the controls on them.
